The Shadowlands are available to all WoW players and there are already all sorts of heroes diligently leveling through Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenwald and Revendreth. Well, many, but not all. As Game Director Ion Hazzikostas tweets on Twitter after complaints from fans, there is a so-called bottleneck quest at the beginning of the Ardenwald campaign. For one of the first steps, you are supposed to kill Mothbane the Mighty in order to advance. In order for you to throw the NPC, who is actually friendly to you, from his mount, you have to wait for the hand icon. Many players who have reached the point of the campaign have taken to spamming area damage abilities to tag Mothbane for themselves. Eventually, the technology stopped working and Mothbane disappeared before it could be re-tagged.

Hazzikostas advises you to give Mothbane a second to get off his mount, so that the mechanic will work properly and Mothbane can be attacked by the surrounding heroes. However, he also promises that a hotfix will be tested that will make the bottleneck less of a bottleneck. And shortly after, he backed up his words with action, announcing that the problem was now fixed.

That said, should you encounter a similar problem with Mottenschreck, keep Hazzikostas' tip in mind. Apart from this bottleneck, the launch of WoW (buy now 14,99 € ): Shadowlands seems to have gone off reasonably well - apart from a few crashed servers.
