Update from February 16, 2020: The developers of the HandyNotes addon for WoW (buy now €14.99 ) have made an interesting discovery. Namely, the color of the potion that decreases your mental health automatically determines the color of the potion that increases your mental health. The whole thing works like this:

  • If the bad potion has the color black, the good potion is green.
  • If the bad potion is blue, the good potion is purple.
  • If the bad potion has the color green, the good potion is red.
  • If the bad potion has the color purple, the good potion is black.
  • If the bad potion is red, the good potion is blue.

The easiest way to keep track is to use the HandyNotes plugin: Visions of N'Zoth for the HandyNotes add-on. It not only shows chests in Uldum and the Valley of Eternal Blossoms, but also helps you in the visions: mailboxes for the possible spawn of the mount Postmampfer, hidden chests as well as spawn locations of the crystals and the harmful vial. With the help of a WeakAura, you can then see in the current run what functions the individual vials have this time.

We wish you good luck in finding the potion of your choice!

The Disturbing Visions have been available since the release of Patch 8.3 and present a special challenge for solo and group play. In nightmare versions of Orgrimmar and Stormwind, you'll have to complete a race against time, and of course, any help will do. So it's nice that the developers have distributed vials with colored liquid in the area, which give you buffs. The only problem is that one of the five different colors (blue, green, black, red, purple) is poisonous and drains your mental health. Exactly which one changes with each run. But there is a way to recognize them!

More on Disturbing Visions: Our guide with valuable tips and info

First poisonous vial of the vision lies next to a corpse

If you start a Vision and begin your run in the area near Grommash Stronghold or the Cathedral in Stormwind, you will find a Vial. In Orgrimmar, the vial is located in a hat next to the forge, to the left of the fortress. In Stormwind at the cathedral square outside. Next to the vial are always a note and a corpse - this clue is crucial. Because the vial next to the corpse is always poisonous. So if you find a blue one there, for example, avoid the blue vials during your run. In Orgrimmar, you will find the poison vial in the hut next to the forge. The vial is blue this time - so avoid all blue vials during this Run of Disturbing Visions! Source: buffed

This is what the vials in the Disturbing Visions do for you.

You can drink the other vials without any problems, because their bonuses are, for example, health regeneration, regular fire breathing or reduced damage. One even acts like a special healing potion and gives you 100 points of mental health. Keep in mind, though, especially in the Lost Realms: while you're searching for a vial or taking a detour, you'll continue to lose mental health per second. So consider whether the Vial you're heading to is really worth it.
