Update: We mistakenly talked about some races finally being able to wear bald heads, even though they were allowed to do so before. Instead, in Shadowlands, many female characters in particular can be bald, but there are also males of some races who can be bald for the first time in Shadowlands.

Original: Periodically, WoW's dataminers bring new features of the upcoming Shadowlands expansion from the sinister programmer mines in which they toil. One particularly interesting find even revolves around nothing. Because that's how the hair of our heroes will be allowed to turn out with the departure to the Shadowlands!

Heard right: after years of tyrannical imposition of hairstyles and hairy heads, we can say "NO! MY CHARACTER HAS NO HAIR!" On wowhead you can find pictures of the new anti-hairstyles of the peoples of Azeroth - we present you here directly a few examples, some more striking than others.

Bald heads in WoW - more conspicuous on some than others

While we hardly notice, for example, smooth dwarf heads or orcs without a perm, it is the actually vain blood elves that stand out. After all, what could be more frightening on the battlefield than an otherwise fashionable pointy-eared creature with nothing left to lose?

The

look isn't entirely new, though, as a certain raid boss has already flaunted this look thanks to a bug.

Traditionally, of course, the female characters with bald heads attract particular attention, especially among the classic humans

.

However, the Draenei ladies, who are more reminiscent of aliens, are still surprising, as they give us an unobstructed view of the tentacles sprouting from their skulls.

Editor Matthias admits: "I couldn't have said for sure until now that trolls, undead, and orcs couldn't already be bald - in my mind, they've had them for a long time!"
