One problem of Battle for Azeroth that Blizzard wants to address with WoW: Shadowlands is the random principle, which is overused in the opinion of many players. The random loot distribution caused a lot of frustration within the community, so the developers want to make it better with the next expansion. The weekly loot chest system in the Shadowlands beta currently shows exactly how this can look.

The reward animals of the Great Vault

Players in Shadowlands have the opportunity to select a specific reward once a week via the so-called Great Vault. As they complete certain set tasks and objectives in dungeons, raids, and World of Warcraft PvP (buy now €14.99 ), the selection of rewards players can choose from increases.

The available rewards in the current beta build are structured according to the respective game progress:

Raids

  • Reward pet 1: Defeat three raid bosses
  • Reward pet 2: Defeat seven raid bosses
  • Reward pet 3: Defeat ten raid bosses

Mythic+ Dungeons

  • Reward Tier 1: Complete one Mythic dungeon
  • Reward Tier 2: Complete five Mythic dungeons
  • Reward Tier 3: Complete 15 Mythic dungeons

PvP

  • Reward pet 1: Collect 100 conquest points
  • Reward pet 2: Collect 150 conquest points
  • Reward pet 3: Collect 250 conquest points

Blizzard has already announced that you can choose one item per weekly reward box from a selection of several items. If there is no item of interest to you in the selection, you can choose a currency instead.

When

you complete the first reward tier, you will receive three items to choose from; in the third tier, the selection increases to six items.

In addition, the item level of the rewards scales with the difficulty of the content you complete in the reward tiers

:
  • The item level for raids is based on the difficulty of the respective raids.
  • Mythic+ item level is based on the lowest level of your top dungeon run.
  • The item level for PvP is based on the highest rated victory of the week.
