Do you remember what happened on January 22, 2020 in Azeroth? Well, that was the day the 4th season of WoW: Battle for Azeroth began - with the Ny'alotha raid challenge, the seasonal affix "Awakened," the Heroic Warfront on the Dark Coast, and new PvP rewards and world bosses. Crass, that was over eight months ago now.

It

is now certain that the season will not be nine months old. In the official WoW forum, Community Manager Kaivax announced - unsurprisingly - that Season 4 will end with the launch of the pre-patch for WoW: Shadowlands at the next ID change on October 14.

From then on, you will still be able to visit the Arenas and Battlegrounds, earn Conquest Points, and collect PvP loot, but all seasonal rewards such as the Gladiator mount or its title will no longer be available. Those who participated in the 4th PvP season and earned season rewards should refrain from switching characters to another server or faction in the near future. Titles and mounts will be available about two weeks after the end of the season.

The PvP leaderboards are scheduled to come back online at the start of the first Shadowlands season. This will start about two weeks after the launch of the expansion. Since we don't know the new release date due to the postponement of the addon indefinitely, the start date of Season 1 is currently unknown as well. We will of course keep you up to date.
